This project is part of an installation mainly about childhood and memories. To create the clay sculptures, I asked my brother and sister about their own childhood toys, what are the memory they have from it, how do they remember it and what can they tell me about it. Later, I recreated the toys following exactly their description, without my subjectivity. The delicacy of the clay can be linked to the delicacy of our childhood.
We have all childhood memories. They haunt us at some time of our existence. It happens that they are bound to the memory of the objects with which we are connected to, objects filled with affect and with sentimentality, from which we sometimes have difficulty to leave. Here, we find a childish universe through ceramic objects. Objects present a unified form and, it is by the narration, that the work of memory is made.
