My maternal grandparents, Mormor and Morfar in Norwegian, met in 1959 in Trondheim. Through interview, I have gathered vivid accounts of their lives. My grandmother was a florist, my grandfather a bridge engineer. She gave me the impression that she felt she was not as valuable as her husband. This led me to reflect on the status of women within the family, in romantic relationships and at work. But also to the education passed down from generation to generation. Drawing on film and material archives, the installation allows me to make this history my own and reflect on the position of women in Swiss society today.
This project was my Master diploma work.
